I was born in 1951 and grew up in New Jersey. In 1970 I joined the Navy to avoid being drafted into the Army and going to Vietnam, but soon after boot camp I volunteered for duty in 'Nam. This started me on my career in the Navy, retiring in 1990 as a Chief Petty Officer. I met and married Lanita in 1972 and we have raised a large family. I earned a Computer Management degree and retired in 2012 from my second career in law enforcement. Today Lanita and I live full time and travel in our 2010 Itasca Ellipse.
I was born and raised in rural Homestead, Florida, which was a small farming community at the time. I Joined the Air Force right out of High School. Married an Oklahoma girl, Dianna, when stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. I spent a year in Vietnam. Obtained a Computer Science degree and a Master of Business Administration while serving and retired as an E-8 in 1985 while stationed at Patrick AFB, FL. I became a construction manager and managed the installation of the Information Technology systems in many airports around the world. I retired in 2013 and now I am a full time RV’er.
I was born in 1951 in Gary, Indiana– one of six children of a Gary school teacher and a stay-at-home Mom. After 3 years of college, I enlisted in the Army in 1972 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1973. While stationed in the DC area, I earned a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from George Mason University. I retired in 1995 as a Lieutenant Colonel and taught computer related courses at a local community college for 10 years and also worked as an H&R Block tax advisor for 8 years. I have two grown children and a precious granddaughter. Now fully retired, I have a home in O’Fallon, IL, and enjoy travelling in my RV. I spend my winters in Tucson AZ where I enjoy hiking and bicycling and volunteer as a tax preparer for service members and retirees at Davis-Monthan AFB.
